The Kabookie is a new ski in Blizzard's Free Mountain line, and it really put's the 'free' into it. The kabookie is Blizzard's entry into the Alpine Touring segment. A super light 98mm wide ski based on the Bonafide chassis, that blizzard has, in the word's of legendary car designer Colin Chapman, added 'lightness' to. They did this by replacing the Titanium layers with Double Quadrax layers and tweeking the wood/ISO/Bamboo ratios. The kabookie retains the sandwich sidewall construction, and tip and tail rocker with slight camber underfoot.
- - Sandwich Sidewall construction
- - Wood core with ISO and Bamboo
- - Double Quadrax laminate
- - Flipcore 3D
- - Slight camber underfoot
- - 21 meter turn radius
- - 1,800 g per pair
The Kabookie is the go-to ski for a hard-charging ripper looking for a touring ski option. Tip and tail rocker enhance float, the 98mm waist keeps the ski versatile enough to handle variable snow conditions. Some slight camber underfoot adds rebound to the ski and helps skins perform. The kabookie is also a great choice for any lighter weight guy who wants the performance of the Bonafide without the metal construction.
