Take a Trip to Chamonix with Skiershop!

Join Skiershop in Chamonix France

Our 2013 trip to Chamonix was unbelievable. Seriously, it worked out better than we could have planned. So after an overwhelming amount of prompting from friends of the shop, we've nailed down our dates for next year's trip! And we're sticking to a similar format with dates and schedules because as the Vermont saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Considering we got over 6 feet of snow during our stay there in April, we're comfortable with that.

Again, we'll be offering 3 weeks of adventure travel options based out of the Chamonix Valley. Everything is included and arranged by us; lodging, breakfast, travel arrangements, lift tickets, guiding, and itineraries based on the latest conditions. Lift tickets will include all six ski areas in Chamonix, plus Courmeyeur, Italy and Verbier, Switzerland. We'll arrange all travel to and from each place depending on weather and conditions. Trust me when I tell you that we've got the inside line on where and when to go when the time is right. The proof is in the pudding.

We've broken down our stay into three 1-week stints. But we're always willing to accommodate any variations in the timetable if you'd like to stay for more or less time. Each week runs the same format: depart the states Friday evening, arriving in Chamonix Saturday, then departing the following Saturday. The trip includes 6 days of skiing from Sunday through Friday, with an optional rest day depending on weather and/or levels of exhaustion and sensory overload from sheer awesomeness.

This trip will be based in Chamonix, France, offering opportunities to ski Verbier, Switzerland and Courmayeur, Italy. That's three unique venues, three unique countries and three very different cultures - all with one ski pass. We’ll have access to local High Mountain Guides as well as our own friends who live and work in the valley.

Arrive in Chamonix and get acclimatized to the mind-blowing town. Ski or just see the sights.

Monday through Friday:

We will begin our trip skiing at le Grand Montets; from there we will be making daily decisions for where and what we ski based on weather and snow conditions. With the aid of our local friends and guides we will ensure the best experience possible for each day. We plan on skiing off the Aiguille du Midi with high mountain guides, a day in Verbier, and a day of touring off the Helbronner to Courmayeur Italy. In the Chamonix Valley we will have options to ski at Le Tour, Brevent and Flegere. The skiing options are endless. There will be chances for daily ski tours and, of course, afternoon beers at the Elevation bar. There are so many ways to make this trip your own personal alpine journey. Create your own adventure!

Day 7:

Return home satisfied with all you’ve accomplished, goggle tanned and excited about your next Skiershop trip.
