Skiershop is stoked to be a sponsor of the Natural Playground Photo Contest! This Wednesday, event organizers released the finalists and the photos look amazing. Take a look at their site and VOTE for your favorite shots, and if you are local be sure to attend the reception on October 14th. Skiershop will be in attendance along with many other great sponsors and will be hooking people up with deals and giveaways… See you there!
A good friend of mine and videographer, Nate Steinbauer, is currently in New Zealand skiing the Southern Alps. Needless to say the pictures are stunning, take a look at Nate and Steph’s latest adventure on their site Through Five Eyes. – Erme
UVM’s Ski and Snowboard Club is the second largest in the country with almost 2,000 members. A club that size deserves some recognition, and Skiershop is stoked to be a sponsor. On Wednesday night, Skiershop employees Tim Pelletier and Jeff Neagle were reminiscing on their college days and slinging gear at UVMSSC’s annual kick-off meeting. It was a blast to support such a great club, all with the common goal of shredding hard!
Last week’s cool down brought the first taste of winter temperatures and dustings of snow across the country, and the mountains of the West weren’t the only winners… The East Coast joined in on the fun as well, with Mount Washington, NH, picking up a coating of the white gold on the 15th and 16th. It was the first time temperatures dipped below freezing since early June! Get ready, it’s coming… – Erme
Nimbus Independent just dropped “On Top Of The Hood,” Sammy Carlson’s project from this past spring. For all of you who missed it at IF3, you can now watch it on your computers for free!
Skiershop Team Member Tyler Duncan and ID3A Media just posted a summer fun edit. Check it out, summer seems to be on it’s way out, get ready to shred! – Erme
A buddy of mine, Adam Mikaelian from Send It Studios and Jay Peak Video, spent last winter at Alta, UT. Alta had a banger year along with many other resorts out west, and it was fun shredding pow with him when we were both in town. Here is his season edit (filmed entirely on a GoPro HD), Viva La Niña! – Erme
That’s right folks, this week is IF3! Summer is officially over and ski movie season is upon us. We’ll be heading to Montreal Friday to peep this year’s selection of ski movies, and couldn’t be more excited. If you haven’t seen the line-up or still need to purchase a ticket click HERE – you don’t want to miss this. – Erme
