It has been a busy past few weeks of traveling, snowstorms, and then meltdowns… Through it all the Skiershop Team has been absolutely crushing it and having a blast at the same time. Here’s a quick recap on what has been going down – we at Skiershop couldn’t be prouder of our riders this season!
Our dynamic female duo of Louise Lintilhac and Ashley Maxfield took their skills to the Subaru North American Freeskiing Championships in Snowbird, Utah. Ashley took home 7th place, and unfortunately Weeze took home a black eye. The pictures looked scary, and we are glad that she is ok. Next up is Kirkwood, beginning April 4, 2012.
On the jib side, Tyler Duncan and Will Hibbs recently returned from the Dumont Cup at Sunday River, ME where they both made the semi-finals – yeah boys!
On the local level. Skiershop Riders Noah Ranallo and Colby Vavolotis continued to dominate the Ski The East Freeride Tour. Following the tour’s final stop at Jay Peak, VT, Valvolotis emerged victourous as the tour winner. For Ranallo, the Jay Peak competition marked the second time he won the Cliff Huckstable Big Air Award – Congrats boys!

Noah Ranallo, Skiershop.com Team Member has been poking around Mad River Glen during this low tide early season. Here’s an edit he put together from the MLK weekend storm that blessed Vermont. Also keep your eyes peeled for Noah in this year’s Ski The East Freeride Tour. - Erme Catino

In this episode of Skiing with Steve Wallace, presented by Volkl Skis, Marker Bindings, and Porters Tahoe, Steve heads to TRAINS at Alpine Meadows and then shreds powder with Landon McGauley at Sugarbowl… High Five! – Erme
The Skiershop.com crew has skiing on the mind 24/7, though in the summer they may put a bike to good use too. Each member of our staff is committed to getting you stoked on skiing and equipped with the gear to do so. Here is a little bit of information about the staff so you can see what gear they use and why. – Erme

How long have you worked at Skiershop: 8 years.
Why Stowe? I like living in the East, Stowe is by far the best eastern ski area.
Ideal day on the hill? 10” of fresh during a storm cycle, clear skies, no crowds and no wind…or skiing during a big storm.
Gear:
Ski – Nordica Girish
Bindings – Rossignol FKS 180
Boots – Lange RL1
Outerwear – Trew Pow-Funk Jacket and Eagle Pant
Goggles – Scott Fix
Best day ever? My next powder day.
Summertime activity and tool of choice? Mountain Biking – Intense Tracer VP.
Favorite music to listen to while skiing? I like loud fast music but don’t listen to tunes while skiing, I find it distracting without enhancing my enjoyment at all.

The annual SIA trade show has come and gone leaving in its wake an empty convention center and a lot of empty beer cans. Rather than loading a whole bunch of photos at once, we’re going to put up a few posts on Raise The Bar of vendors that we’re stoked on. So take a look at some of next year’s gear!
