What we say about the Stöckli Stormrider VXL: The Stöckli Stormrider VXL is an all-mountain ski that shares the performance heritage of Stockli's race department. With a slightly softer flex and an all mountain shape, the VXL is nimble, quick, and holds an edge unbelievably well. Its wood/ fiberglass/ titanal construction, flat tail, race graphite base combined with updated graphics for this year creates a sweet looking all mountain performer.
What Stöckli says about their Stormrider VXL Skis: The VXL is an all mountain ski for piste and powder. The ski's wide shovel is designed for float in powder while the deep side-cut allows for great edge hold on the hard pack. It's a versatile ski, built strong for the back-country that can also feel at home on a groomer. ""Bomb-proof"" is a good way to describe the construction here - wood core surrounded by fiberglass, Titanal, fiberglass midsection support, and some more Titanal.

- Versatile Fat Race Ski Review by Tahoe Ernie

Just finished a week skiing these in Cortina and the Sellaronda, in all possible snow conditions. These skis are crudbusters extraordinaire, making mincemeal out of crud, loose snow and small moguls! Excellent under most all conditions, and just plain fun on groomers as well. One of three Stockli's in my quiver, and by far the most versatile. (Posted on 1/20/12)Price Value Quality
